Steak, more shops slated for Southwest Austin retail center next to Yeti HQ

The next round of tenants has been named at Lantana Place, the $80 million mixed-use development in Southwest Austin by Stratus Properties Inc., including a new eatery from a restaurant group known for its high-end steaks.

Carve American Grille, a restaurant and bar that will serve up a variety of dishes “using live fire, smoke, and wood grilling techniques,” has leased 8,800 square feet at Lantana, according to a Dec. 4 announcement. It’s expected to open in late summer 2019 with a main dining room, three private dining rooms and an outdoor patio. Aria Group Architects Inc. is leading the design.

Carve is owned by Perry’s Restaurants Ltd., the same company behind Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, which has a location in downtown Austin and another on the way in Domain Northside.
